Dr.Nakul Shah excelled on master of Orthopaedic Surgery MS (Ortho) by Pune University and stood FIRST in the Pune University; further qualified as Diplomate of National Board (DNB) orthopaedic Surgery and Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences(MNAMS).He chose joint replacement and arthoscopy as the field of special interest and strived to achieve best in the field.
His International experience in joint replacement and arthroscopy was at Finders Medical Centre and Repatriation General Hospital, Adelaide ,Australia where he learnt latest techniques of joint replacement and performed significant number of total knee, hip and total elbow replacement surgeries.
He is presently working as head of joint replacement and arthroscopy services at Sanjeevan Hospital, Pune.He is a panel consultant at Poona Hospital,Ruby Hall,Sahyadri Hospital.His current academic position is Assosiate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery recognized by University of Health Sciences.
Achievements:
As a result of his aptitude and progress in arthroscopic surgery he was awarded S.Gopalkrishnan Fellowship in arthroscopic reconstruction by Indian Arthroscopy Society Whereby he worked in Premier institutes like A.I.M.S. and Safdarjung Hospital,New Delhi to and performed knee ,ankle and shoulder arthoscopic reconstruction,(ACL/PCL/Bankart/Rotator cuff repairs).
He was chosen for fellowship in joint replacement surgery to Sydney, Australia to Prince of Wales and Saint Luke’s hospital where he trained in resurfacing hip arthroplasty,metal on metal and ceramic total hip replacement.Dr.Nakul Shah worked as Honorary clinical fellow in joint replacement surgery at National University Hospital, Singapore where he performed a sizable number of primary and REVISION knee and hip replacement surgeries.
